Once upon a time, in a land where stand-up paddleboards are apparently used backward, James spotted Ashlee at Noosa River and thought, “That’s the one!” Meanwhile, Ashlee witnessed James and his friends engaging in some high-level play-wrestling and figured, “Well, that’s my kind of guy!” And so, a love story began, fueled by impeccable paddleboarding and impressive wrestling moves.

Fast forward eight years, and the plot thickens: James and Ashlee are living the suburban dream in Coolum with their cheeky 1.5-year-old son, Fynn, and Ashlee pregnant with their second, Fraser. During a routine beach walk, James decided it was time to upgrade from ‘awesome boyfriend’ to ‘forever husband’ and popped the big question. Spoiler alert: Ashlee said yes!
